HHH Virtual Race results (10k) 7-9 August
(August 09, 2020)Well, EPSR's keyboard has melted over the weekend it was so hot. However, a couple of pints of Harvey's has breathed a little life back into it.
Our 7th weekend of virtual racing was marked by the much lower turnout. Only 17 races completed by 16 runners. We do know some more started but abandoned due to heat, and others tried (and failed) to beat the weather by racing a few days early or late....generosity allowed one runner a 9pm Sunday start to count. Fastest time (male) of the weekend was Russ Mullen's excellent run at Lindfield in 35:09 and Sarah Kings' great run of 50:11 topped the Ladies list.
Our Chair Lady (full of protest about being so close to her next factor) still managed to top the age grading league.
We welcomed Kai Robinson to his first full senior race, while his mother, not wanting to be outshone, insisted on running both courses.
Tim Stannard topped the "performance league". Ben Gibson propped up this league a full 22% off his best...
No dead heats but James Moffatt pipped Andy Hind by a whole second, and in the "Battle of the Tims" Miller held off Stannard by 3 seconds.
Yet again no-one ran on their birthday.
