HHH dominate at SWL with 17 wins

(July 12, 2014)

Another fantastic afternoon of athletics ensured Haywards Heath Harriers Southern Womens League team maintained their hold on the league by winning the third fixture at K2, Crawley.  This was their home match so it was imperative that a full team of athletes competed and they did not disappoint.  With no less than 17 first places, they extended their lead by 184 points, winning with a match score of 294 points with second place achieving 245.  The overall league win is well within their grasp and they must ensure a full team of athletes attend the final fixture on 9th August at Wimbledon Park to retain their Division 1 Title.

Special thanks should go to the Under 15 team of Katie Grant, Sophie Hooper, Phoebe & Hattie Collins, Freya Smit, Derval Branagan and Niamh Lingard who all competed brilliantly, many of them in events they had never competed in before, and to Ann Sinnett on making her Southern Womens League debut.  The Senior section of the team also welcomed back sisters Amy and Ellie Radcliffe, Abigail Redd and Helen Diack, and also present were regulars Laura Penfold, Lucie Venables, Lana Shaw, Abi Hosier, Brittany Croydon-Kempster, Michelle Pearce, Michelle Holdstock, Jenny Denyer, Irene Parsley and Team Manager Linda Tullett.  All together a fantastic team effort.
