Club 10k champs

(August 30, 2015)

A wind-free day saw 27 Harriers tackle the "undulating" lanes south of Newick in the battle to become club 10k champion on an age graded basis.

For the Ladies, Penny Rea played a very strong age factor card but ultimately was just bested by Marion Hemsworth by about 40 seconds.  Izzy Coomber, looking younger than she is, was first over the line but  had to give way to the others for 3rd place  (1:43 faster needed to beat Marion).

For the Men, it was Rob Watts who took advantage of his increasing age to pip Russ Mullen, in spite of being 46 seconds back on the road.  Russ would have needed another 41s to take the crown.  Andy Guy was a little further back and took third place.

Well done to all who took part.  Full Results here  (subject to final confirmation)
