Great Walstead 5
The Great Walstead 5 is hosted by Haywards Heath Harriers and is our annual fixture in the West Sussex Fun Run League (WSFRL) race series.
Our 2023 fixture date is Sunday 8 October 2023.
The Course
The Great Walstead 5 is a fun off road mixed terrain course of approximately 5 miles (8km). Situated in the extensive woodlands behind Great Walstead School, it is a two lap course with a couple of moderate climbs.
Given the surface, the course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
The Junior (Under 16) race is 1mile and commences at 10:30am
The Senior race starts at 11am
Entries are limited to 500
Results will be available here shortly after the race.
Facilities
Changing and toilets are available but there are no shower facilities.
Water will be available for runners and you are welcome to bring your own reusable cup/bottle.
A select range of refreshments will also be on sale.
Bags are left at owners’ risk.

Entries via postal form must be received by 30 September 2023.
